Dennis Lillee, Former Australian Test Cricketer (born 1949)

Dennis Lillee (born 1949) played Test cricket for Australia from 1970 to 1984 and was a key member of the breakaway World Series Cricket competition of 1978. He was an exceptionally fast bowler and was known for his firey temperament, ‘never-say-die’ attitude and popularity with the fans.

Dennis Lillee shared a famous partnership with wicket-keeper, Rod Marsh, and the pair’s record of 95 bowled-and-caught dismissals is yet to be broken. Lillee announced his retirement in 1984 during the final Test in Sydney.
